Today is the Day, like 'Sleepless in Seattle'.

It has not stopped raining for twelve hours now !
I wish I could be back at the Inn at Whitewell, in the Trough of Bowland ,Lancashire, to relive the wonderful 'hoare frost'
crisp blue skies, rambling hills, and sheep bleating their lovliness on the firm and frosty ground.

Oh Bliss.

This day....

computer trauma
... I discovered that it is not a good idea to put a magnet next to a Mac Notebook computer screen.

In my defence, it looked pretty.

Peggys Cove

This Day-

Viewing the Stormy dark, cold and white capped water of the North Atlantic.
Breaking furiously over the rocky crags of Peggy's Cove.
Seeing the Oceans fury lashing at the shoreline , hearing the pounding of the surf.
Tasting the salt spray upon my lips. With the gale force winds stinging my face.

It makes one stand in awe of the strength, beauty and sheer power of Mother Nature.
Causes one to pause and give thanks to God above for his wondrous Creation.

This day...

... I lost a friend after I told him to F*** off and die. Not in so many words. Actually in a lot more. I miss him, but he deserved it.

... I went to the Cinema on my own. First time for a year. And I thoroughly enjoyed it.

... I checked my Facebook a million times to see if my friend-not-friend had responded to my email, even though I told him he was never to respond to me this side of eternity.

This day...

Banksy
... has seen me sipping strong coffee in Pret a Manger (Pret a minger more like, I found a hair in my muffin).

... has found me meandering around a small but perfectly formed Banksy exhibition, inhaling the fresh fumes of clean, white paint and basking in soft spotlights.

... has forced me to make a thousand calls to one large company chasing many people for comments, quotations, contact details and information. Most of which I still have not received, or which, having received it, I have not had time to act upon.

... has caused me to end the previous sentence with a preposition.

... has presented me with a new challenge of yet another magazine, two new articles and the opportunity to interview the beautiful Ben Ainslie - a national treasure. I shall see the Olympian deity tomorrow, face to face.

... has therefore also reminded me to get an early night so that I am more than, ahem, presentable. Just in case.
