Yesterday was oddly enough a good day...
I started out driving to work, noticed smoke coming from the car, drove it back home and on the way my passenger front tire blew off my car...
I made it back to the house...got the other car and just figured "stuff happens" and moved on...
At lunch, I got in the car to get an iced green tea and to relax in the park...a lady came up and said "Ma'am your tire is flat"
The same exact tire on the second car had flattened...now both tires are brand new...so I got to the nearest garage, aired it up and just figured "stuff happens"
It was very odd...but these flat tires took my mind off of everything else going on...and i was able to laugh at everything...
So while it may have been a nightmare most times...yesterday...was a good day!

This Day.....
I am chilling out in Canada-land
Drinking coffee
Playing with a cat
Nagging the Old Tarf.
Does life get much better?

Oh Such a Perfect Day, Saturday.
Yesterday was our Darling, lovely Grandaughter's Birthday, She was two. Her name is Olivia Grace but we call her 'Livy'.
She's an absolute 'poppet' with a shock of blonde curls, tumbling down to her little shoulders, she has the brightest blue eyes, ever!
Six little people were present and two larger boys. We played Pass the Parcel and Pin the Donkey's Tail on. Unfortunately, one of the larger boy's thought it was a great hoot, to peek through his mask and deliberately pin the tail where a Boy Donkey should have his 'appendage'.
After I pointed out, to the culprit, the game was Pin The Donkey's Tail On, not Pin The Donkey's Willie On, he lost interest and ate nearly all of the Postman Pat Cakes, that I had lovingly made. Little horror, I hope he was sick when he got home.
Beware the curse of Trubes, Mister!
However, a grand time was had by all and Olivia went to bed Happy and singing 'Wind the Bobbin in'.
It was, such a Perfect Day ...Family ...Friends Neighbours, sharing tales, playing with the chidren and celebrating a very 'Special Little Lady's second birthday.
Magic !

Snowtime/Sunday.
Sunday was the day that the Lord did make, I rejoiced and gave thanks.
It snowed, oh bliss, I just love snow.
Together with our Daughter Ingrid and her partner Mick, We built a Snowman for our darling Grandaughter Olivia,(aged almost two). I cooked a hearty Beef Cobbler Casserole with Crusted Parsley dumplings, served with a large dish of Mustardy Mash and Crunchy Greens.
To follow I made a Rhubarb, Ginger, Banana and Pear crumble which was accompanied by a large jug of custard.
All this was washed down with a bottle or two of Chateau Neuf du Pape, (Olivia stuck to her water). Only the adults were foolish enough to glug all the wine !
Later we all went for a walk in the local woods. By then, the snow was starting to melt, but it was still very pretty.
I believe there is more snow on the way tonight , so, I may just get my thereputic 'roll' in the Snow, Old Tarf !
Darling Trubes is 'snuffling' out the marshmallows, Bailey`s and the Drinking Chocolate as I write.
Heaven !

This Day -"No Business like Snow Business"

This Day-We acted out our shoe size instead of our actual ages.
As it was or we hope the last snow fall of winter.
Decided to make a Snowman on the Dartmouth Commons.
He looked like a proper snowman for a few hours.
Now looks like below. The Sun and kids and the odd dog got to him.
Always next year..........

Today is the Day, like 'Sleepless in Seattle'.
It has not stopped raining for twelve hours now !
I wish I could be back at the Inn at Whitewell, in the Trough of Bowland ,Lancashire, to relive the wonderful 'hoare frost'
crisp blue skies, rambling hills, and sheep bleating their lovliness on the firm and frosty ground.
Oh Bliss.
