Snowtime/Sunday.

Sunday was the day that the Lord did make, I rejoiced and gave thanks.
It snowed, oh bliss, I just love snow.

Together with our Daughter Ingrid and her partner Mick, We built a Snowman for our darling Grandaughter Olivia,(aged almost two). I cooked a hearty Beef Cobbler Casserole with Crusted Parsley dumplings, served with a large dish of Mustardy Mash and Crunchy Greens.
To follow I made a Rhubarb, Ginger, Banana and Pear crumble which was accompanied by a large jug of custard.
All this was washed down with a bottle or two of Chateau Neuf du Pape, (Olivia stuck to her water). Only the adults were foolish enough to glug all the wine !
Later we all went for a walk in the local woods. By then, the snow was starting to melt, but it was still very pretty.
I believe there is more snow on the way tonight , so, I may just get my thereputic 'roll' in the Snow, Old Tarf !
Darling Trubes is 'snuffling' out the marshmallows, Bailey`s and the Drinking Chocolate as I write.
Heaven !

It sounds like you are in much better spirits. The Baileys is helping, I have no doubt.

I have a great homemade Baileys receipt if you ever want it. Thank you for the wonderful post.

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

Blend well, put in bottles. put in refrigerator if any left over. Shake before using. enjoy. Keeps about 6-8 weeks in fridge. ( not in my household) ha,ha

Thanks for that OT.
Is the canned milk just ordinary full cream milk or is it evaporated milk, that we have in the UK ?

Merms: Hello, it took me a while to realize that the 'Old Tarf', was an anangram..... Dhoh.
Explains a lot !
DT is going to make the Baileys, he`s quite excited about it, he doesn`t need much to incite flatulence.
Must be all the good home, healthy cooking !
I do hope you have a lovely time with OT, and take a well earned rest, my Darling.

Hi Daisy,
Good to see you over here. I think Mermaid could be on a winner with this Site, particularly, if she persuades more contributors to join up.
Perhaps yourself ?
You probably laugh at we 'Brits' and our love of Snow. I suppose it goes back to childhood.
Some of us never really grow up !

Back to the Baileys.

Are the 'cups of Expresso Coffee, standard size or demi-tasse ?

Merms:
Talking of flatulence, as we are. Do you remember my 'Yarn', on my True Blue Site, about the One Legged Flatulent Lady? I recall that amused you greatly.
It may amuse Old Tarf too!
True Blue can still be accesssed via my profile, should you feel like another giggle!

Trubes-Standard size or mug size. 6-8 0z is what i use. enjoy the baileys. Great thing about this receipt is you can suit it to your taste. So it is fun to taste it as you mix it. too bitter put in more sugar too sweet add more coffee. Too dark in color add a little more evap. milk etc. Takes a time or two to get it to personal taste.

I usually put some in a crystal glass and swish it around after i made it to see the color on the glass of the film left from the baileys.

have a great weekend.

Don
So you finally got the old Tarf-(Fart) ha,ha,ha,I was teaching Merms- how to swear without her mother coming down on her like a brick outhouse. it all started with her getting me to buy her a guns and roses tape.
She said it was really great music. I saw the words on the cassette and almost flipped. so i took the words from the cassette so she or I wouldn't have any grief or less anyways. Should someone have seen them. Hence fart became
Tarf.

it is snowing here again...i cannot believe it is snowing...not a lot...just the real fluffy stuff that does not stay...but it is beautiful...looking across the prairie fields and seeing it float down on a slant caused by the slight wind makes me feel like running out like a child...till i open the door...damn it's cold!

Daisy Lou.... Oh lucky you...

We've had lots of
Hail Stones today, but sadly, no snow...

Hope you`re well and happy.
